A proprietary barrier laminated to a
Tyvek® substrate
Strong and lightweight, with broad
chemical barrier
Used for protection from chemical
warfare agents
Color: Gray
Seams: Taped
Because Tychem® F garments are
only available with respiratory fit hood, storm
flap and taped seams, these garments are
intended for domestic preparedness situations
where the potential for exposure to chemical
warfare agents exists.
A single layer garment that provides flash fire
escape and liquid-chemical splash protection.
Combines the trusted chemical protection of Tychem®
and thermal protection of NOMEX®
Designed to help provide Hazmat responders with
permeation protection against a broad range of toxic
industrial chemicals and chemical warfare agents and to
increase escape time from flash fires.
Provides at least one hour breakthrough protection
against 20 of the 21 standard ASTM chemicals.
Certified to NFPA 2112, Standards on
Flame-Resistant Garments
Available in a respirator fit
coverall with drawstring hood
A multi-layer film barrier
laminated to a durable 2.3 oz/yd2
polypropylene substrate
Provides the same physical
properties and chemical resistance
as Tychem® BR, in a low-visibility
color for military operations or
other discrete situations. Protects
against moderate to heavy chemical
splash
Provides chemical protection with
test data available against more
than 250 chemicals
Eliminates the need to inventory
many different garments
A patented fabric of
film barriers with layers laminated to each side of a
3.0 oz/yd2 polypropylene
substrate
The leading fabric chosen by
hazmat responders worldwide
With more than 230 specific
chemicals tested to date, Responder®
fabric offers the broadest level of
chemical protection on the market
today
Color: Dark Blue

Applications: petroleum refining,
pulp and paper mills, food processing,
chemical processing, pharmaceutical
manufacturing, and general durable and
non-durable goods manufacturing.
A special version of Responder®
fabric designed for dealing with
chemical warfare (CW) agents
Developed jointly with GEOMET
Technologies
Assured protection and
qualification - GEOMET performs
extensive quality control and
quality assurance (QC/QA) testing on
both fabric and garments
Tychem® Responder® CSM protects
against a wide range of agents, such
as Lewisite, Mustard, Soman, Nerve,
Sarin and Tabun in addition to over
230 other toxic industrial chemicals
Universal
Pressure Test Kit - this new universal test kit is designed for
periodic air pressure testing on all Level A fully encapsulated
suits. This compact, lightweight kit is completely self
contained, requiring no external air supply. Pressure test kits
are used to test Level A garments per the methods described in
ASTM F 1054, "Practice for Pressure Testing of Totally
Encapsulated Chemical Protective Suits" and EN464
"Leak-Tightness of Gas-Tight Suits (Internal Pressure Test)".
Typical Applications:
All Level A, gas-tight suit applications. NOTE: Proper
decontamination and visual inspection for damage and excessive
wear and tear must occur before beginning any pressure testing.
Hazardous chemical work requires
training. DuPont offers the widest range of affordable
totally encapsulating suits to be used for training.
Responder® training suits are ideal for hazmat
exercises where limited-use suits are appropriate
Commander® EX training suit - high visibility
training suit made from Tychem® TK fabric
DuPont™ Cordura® training suit - breathable, rugged
suits in Level A configuration
CPF® 1 training suits offers an inexpensive
lightweight alternative
Typical Applications: For
facilities that use totally encapsulating garments and must
train workers for actual use scenarios. Also used in hazmat
training courses and industrial hazmat training.
